What is the Amount of security deposit which I have to leave with the car rental company at that time of pick-up?
At that time of pick-up, you need to leave a deposit to cover any optional cost, such as the cost of fuel (Depending on the tank option) and the deductable of the collision damage waiver. This normally takes place in the form of an amount being blocked on your credit card and being released after your return the car in the same condition. Our CDW (collision damage waiver) excess is Euro 1000.00 or SCR16,000.00 for all our Group A cars and Euro 1500.00 or SCR 25,000.00 for group B,C and D Cars.
You can make the deposit by credit card or cash, whichever is most convenient for the renter. Therefore, the renter must have a valid credit card in the name of the primary driver/renter as stated on the voucher. Please note that debit cards are not accepted at that time of rental.
We rent out all vehicles with a full tank of fuel. Vehicles should be return with full tank or as the same as it is stated on the rental contract. The renter will be charged for any missing fuel when returning the vehicle.
Our rental car has a public/third party liability insurance with a minimum coverage amount as per local legislation. We also offer CDW Insurance at an extra cost per day. This CDW insusrance is optional and not mandatory, it is best to have the maximum coverage that we advice that rental to be done with CDW ( collision waiver damage) insurance.
Any additional driver needs to be registered in the rental agreement. Additional driver needs to be present at time of pick-up and also provide a valid driver’s license and passport/photo ID. We do not charge for additional driver.
Our car rental prices are based on a 24 hour time period , e.g. if you reserve and pick up your car rental at 14:00 you will have to drop it off at 14:00 at the latest. If you return you car later you will be charged for an additional day. Please note that if you return your car earlier than your pick up time, we do not do refunds for unused hours.
We understand that you might get delayed, so we try our very best to be flexible. If you’re returning late or you need to extend your car rental, do make sure you contact us as soon as possible. Should you return the vehicle late without notifying us or extending you hire, you may be subject to a late return fee or be charged for an extra day. Please note, if you return your vehicle after the agreed date and time, you will pay an additional days rental charges.
You will need to present to our customer representative: Your driver’s license issued by your country of residence and held for a minimum period according to local legislation or conditions. It will be requested at every rental. Your identification documents such as your passport ( or your national identity card). Your valid credit card with an expiry date after the due check-in date. Please note, that our company policy indicates that all renters should have a valid driver license with a minimum of 3 years experience.
It is a temporary hold on a specified amount against the available funds on your payment card. Please note that this is not an actual charge amount and no funds are taken. Your payment card user may present a pre-authorization as a pending transaction.
We always check our hire vehicles thoroughly, but mistakes can happen. Should you notice any damage on the vehicle that’s not marked on your rental agreement, please call us as soon as possible after you collect it. For example if you collected your car at night and it’s dark, please call us straight away in the following morning. You will find our contact details on the rental agreements.
Unfortunately you can’t. we need to see your driving license to fill up your rental agreements and also before you get behind the wheel. Without a valid driving license available, our team will not be allowed to hand over the keys of the vehicle to you.
You are charged for each day (24 hours) you hire your car. Whether you hire it for just 2 hours or 24 hours, you will be charged for a full day. There is no refund for any unused days or hours.
We charge Euro 15 for two hours above the 24 hours booked period. More than 2 hours late, you will be charge for an extra day.
The insurance excess will vary depending on the vehicle category. Our staff will be happy to inform you about the excess corresponding to the vehicle category you wish to rent. If new damage is noted when the vehicle is returned, you will be charged the corresponding amount and the final repair costs.
